At Deep Roots Foundation, we believe in the power of community and the importance of nurturing young talent. This year, we are proud to announce our sponsorship of Wheatland Wild AAA Hockey, a program that includes numerous youth teams. Through the generosity of Hebert Group employees, we have been able to support this fantastic organization and their various teams, including those on which our employees’ children play: the 2011, 2014, and 2015 teams.

Our support for the Wheatland Wild teams was made possible through a unique initiative by the Hebert Group. Each year, Hebert Group employees are given $500 to donate to a cause they are passionate about. This year, many chose to channel their contributions towards these vibrant youth hockey teams, reflecting our shared commitment to youth athletics. These donations have gone a long way in providing equipment, training opportunities, and travel expenses for the teams.

The Saskatchewan Wheatland Wild AAA Hockey  was created to give the southeastern part of Saskatchewan an opportunity to play spring hockey at a higher level after the regular season. This allows kids with similar talent and skill sets to play together, competing against peers from other areas of the province and beyond. The program not only aims to assemble the strongest teams possible but also to create lasting friendships and memories between players and parents.

Youth sports play a critical role in the development of teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills. By supporting Wheatland Wild AAA Hockey, we are helping young athletes grow both on and off the ice. We are excited to see how these teams progress and proud to be a part of their journey!

Stay tuned for more updates on our initiatives and the stories of those we support.
