Deep Roots Foundation Celebrates 2025 Scholarship Recipients

The Deep Roots Foundation, dedicated to fostering future talent in agriculture,
business, and related fields, is proud to announce its four scholarship recipients for
2025. Each year, the foundation awards $2,000 scholarships to deserving high school
students pursuing higher education in these vital sectors. These four individuals
exemplify resilience, hard work, and a deep passion for their chosen careers.
Meet the 2025 Scholarship Winners:
Jeffrey Hutchinson from Rocanville School in Rocanville, SK, is set to embark on a
Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan. Jeffrey’s strong
academic record, active community involvement, and hands-on experience on his family
farm made him a standout candidate.
Rachel Wilson of Wawota Parkland in Wawota, SK, will be attending Lakeland College
to pursue a degree in Agribusiness. Rachel’s dedication extends beyond her studies;
she’s a valued community member, volunteering extensively, coaching curling, and
actively fundraising for pediatric brain cancer, all while contributing to her family farm
and part-time job at Moose Mountain Meats.
Tess Bolton from McNaughton High School right here in Moosomin, SK, will also be
heading to the University of Saskatchewan for a Bachelor of Commerce. Tess is a
highly engaged student, consistently achieving honors and distinctions in her classes
and readily volunteering for school events.
Finally, Taydean Johnson from Whitewood School in Whitewood, SK, plans to pursue
a degree in Soil Science at the University of Saskatchewan. Taydean is an active
member of her local 4H club and student council. Her commitment to her studies,
volunteering for her local rodeo, and spending her summers at working for the
Whitewood Museum showcase her impressive dedication.

The Deep Roots Foundation congratulates these exceptional students and wishes them
all the best as they continue their educational journeys and contribute to the future of
agriculture and business.
